The Pearson’s Test of English Academic, popularly known as PTE only, is a test taken by non native speakers of the English Language for abroad studies and migration. It is administered by the Pearson PLC Group and endorsed by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the regulating authority of GMAT examinations. It is accepted by more than 6,000 educational institutions, including top Universities in the world like Harvard University, London Business School, Stanford University and Yale University.
There are three sections of the PTE Test – Speaking and Writing, Reading and Listening. Students will be provided a maximum of three hours to complete the test. The standard fee for taking the examination is $170.

PTE Format
The PTE Academic Test has three sections – Speaking & Writing, Reading and Listening. The overall score is reported on a scale of 10 to 90.
- PTE SPEAKING & WRITING
You will be provided between 77 to 93 minutes to complete this test. This section includes the following tasks – Personal Introduction, Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, Answer Short Question, Summarize Written Text and Write an Essay.
- PTE LISTENING
You will be provided 45-57 minutes to complete the test. This section includes summarize spoken test, multiple choice question, fill in the blanks, highlight correct summary, select missing word, highlight incorrect word and write from
- PTE READING
You will be provided 32 to 41 minutes to complete this section. This section consists of the following tasks – Multiple Choice (Choose Single Answer), Multiple Choice (Choose Multiple Answer), Re-order paragraphs, Reading (Fill in the Blanks) and Reading and Writing (Fill in the Blanks).
